Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions and add-on purchases made through the TokenCompress service, operated by inPhrase, at TokenCompress.com. All payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record.

We want you to be satisfied with our Service. If you're not, this policy explains when and how you can request a refund.

2. Free Trial

We offer a 3-day free trial of the Pro plan that includes 1,500 compression requests. The trial:

  • Requires no payment method to activate
  • Ends automatically after 3 days or 1,500 requests (whichever comes first)
  • Does not automatically convert to a paid subscription

We encourage you to fully evaluate the Service during the trial before subscribing.

3. Monthly Subscriptions

3.1 Refund Window

You may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase, for any reason, with no exceptions or conditions. This applies to all monthly plans regardless of usage.

3.2 After the Refund Window

After the 14-day window, monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. However, you may cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. No further charges will be made after cancellation.

3.3 Renewal Refunds

Automatic renewal charges are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of the renewal date, for any reason, with no exceptions or conditions.

4. Annual Subscriptions

4.1 Refund Window

Annual subscriptions are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason, with no exceptions or conditions.

4.2 Pro-Rata Refund

After the 14-day window but within the first 60 days, you may request a pro-rata refund for the unused full months remaining on your annual subscription. A processing fee of $10 will be deducted from the refund amount.

4.3 After 60 Days

After 60 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable. You may cancel, and we may, at our sole discretion, offer credit toward future subscriptions.

5. Add-On Purchases

Additional request packs (add-ons) are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason, with no exceptions or conditions. Add-on requests expire at the end of the current billing period.

6. Team Plan โ€” Seat Changes

When reducing seats on a Team plan:

  • Seat reductions take effect at the next billing period
  • No partial refund is issued for the current billing period
  • The minimum number of seats (3) applies at all times

7. Exceptions and Special Circumstances

We may grant refunds outside the standard policy in the following cases:

  • Service outage: Extended downtime (more than 24 consecutive hours) that materially affected your ability to use the Service
  • Billing error: Incorrect or duplicate charges
  • Unauthorized charges: Charges made without your authorization (subject to verification)

Each exception is reviewed on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.

8. EU/EEA Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

However, by using the Service and consuming compression requests during the withdrawal period, you acknowledge that:

  • The Service is delivered digitally and performance begins immediately upon subscription
  • If the Service has been fully or substantially used, the right of withdrawal may not apply

Our 14-day unconditional refund window (sections 3.1, 3.3, 4.1, and 5) meets or exceeds the EU withdrawal requirements.

Nothing in this Refund Policy affects your statutory consumer rights under the laws of your country of residence.

9. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  1. Email info@tokencompress.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
  2. Include your account email and the reason for the refund
  3. We will review your request and respond within 5 business days
  4. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle and typically appear within 5โ€“10 business days, depending on your payment method and financial institution

Refunds are credited to the original payment method used for the purchase.

10. Cancellation Without Refund

If your request falls outside the refund eligibility windows, you can still cancel your subscription at any time:

Upon cancellation, your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period. You will not be charged again.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will not affect refund requests submitted before the update. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
